IQNA – A series of Quranic circles named “True Promise” has been launched at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad.

Organized by the Dar-ol-Quran Center of the Astan Quds Razavi, the Quranic circles have been named after Iran’s recent operation against the Zionist regime.

Late on Saturday and in the early hours of Sunday, Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) launched “extensive” retaliatory missile and drone strikes against the occupied territories in retaliation for the Israeli regime’s attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus that led to the martyrdom of seven IRGC members on April 1.

The Corps announced launching the strikes in a statement on Saturday night, defining the mission as “Operation True Promise”.

The Quranic circles started Sunday evening at the mausoleum of Imam Reza (AS) and will run until Friday.

A number of internationally-acclaimed Iranian qaris, including Mohammad Javad Panahi, Hamid Reza Ahmadivafa, Seyed Javad Hosseini, Ali Reza Rezaei and Mokhtar Dehqan recite the Holy Quran at the programs.

There are also performances by Quran memorizers and Tawasheeh groups.

Also during the programs, Hojat-ol-Islam Abavi Sani, a political affairs expert, explains about different aspects of the IRGC’s historic operation and its outcomes regarding the developments in the region.
